Steps to Buy

  1. Decide on the type of multi-family building you require - phone us to discuss your requirements at (604) 230-9392. We can provide a budget price and stock proposal drawings so you can understand the size, layout, and specifications of the building you require.

  2. Place your order. Sign a Preliminary Design and Budgeting Agreement with Shelter to obtain a detailed project drawing of the required building complete with: specifications; a firm price to do the work; and, a date for completion. An initial deposit (minimum $10,000.) will be required with this agreement to off set costs to provide a detailed proposal, and to confirm your interest to proceed with construction.

  3. Arrange financing as may be required to contract for building services with Shelter or let our mortgage consultants at Mortgage Intelligence help you arrange that financing to develop your property- see financing explanation on the home page.

  4. Confirm the layout, appliances, floor coverings, or any other changes you may want with construction finishes.

  5. After you are satisfies with your method of payment and you are in agreement with the price, plan, and specifications you are ready to proceed with an agreement with Shelter to do the work. This "Final Design & Construction Agreement" would be the contract with Shelter to: complete the permit drawings; obtain permits; schedule the work; and, proceed to complete the construction contract.
